St. Ignatius Holy Week 40-Hour Devotion
During Holy Week, St. Ignatius Catholic Church is holding a 40-hour Devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. This special Lenten Devotion represents the 40 Days of Lent, culminating with the institution of the Eucharist on Holy Thursday. It also represents the traditional 40 hours Christ’s body was in the tomb. This devotion dates back to the year 1527 with St. Anthony Mary Zaccaria but was made popular by St. Ignatius and the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits).
We hope to expose the Blessed Sacrament for 10 hours per day from 8 a.m. on Monday, April 14, through 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 17. There will be no adoration from 12-1 p.m. due to daily Mass. This special devotion is only possible with the help of committed adorers! Please sign up for a slot (or two, or more!) by clicking the button below to help make this devotion possible.
The Archdiocese of Denver invites you to learn about your Catholic high school options to support the formation of your child. There will be three High School Information Fairs held during the month of April. Find the one closest to you and make plans to attend.
