Introducing the Called By Name Campaign
Attention parish staff: Archbishop Aquila is asking all parishes to participate in the upcoming Called By Name campaign on May 17-18. The purpose of this campaign is to identify faithful teens and young men who may be open to the priesthood by inviting parishioners to submit their names and contact information. Men who are nominated will receive a letter of encouragement from the archbishop, invitations to discernment events, and ongoing support from our Vocation Team.
Click the button below for a webpage with the campaign timeline and all of the documents and instructions your parish will need to implement this campaign.
Oppose HB25-1312 – Protect Parental Rights and First Amendment
The Colorado Catholic Conference would like you to share an action alert asking the faithful to testify on Wednesday, April 30, against HB25-1312. This bill would expand the “rights” of transgender individuals in multiple existing Colorado statutes while violating the First Amendment rights of all Coloradans and visitors to Colorado. It would have a huge impact on families—potentially forcing parents to lose custody rights over trans-identifying children—and religious-based institutions like our Catholic Schools.
For more information on the bill and to sign up to testify, click the links below.
Join Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services for an afternoon of education and celebration of the moms in our lives. This event will be Saturday, May 12, at 12 p.m. at Mt Olivet Reception Hall (12801 W. 44th Ave. | Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033).
Sign up below for a meal and presentation about Church teaching on end-of-life decisions and making cemetery and funeral arrangements. Mothers will receive a special gift!
We also encourage you to promote this event at your parish using the promotional flyer linked below.
Please invite your parishioners to check out the beautiful St. Simeon Catholic Cemetery (22001 East State Highway 30 | Aurora, Colorado 80018) during our Open House on May 17 and join us for a pre-planning presentation and free meal! There will be time to see the cemetery grounds, answer questions, and discuss cemetery and funeral plans and other end-of-life directives.
The Breakfast and Learn will begin at 9 a.m., and the Lunch and Learn will begin at 12 p.m.
Also, take advantage of the Spring Sale during the month of May: 10% off complete Pre-Need Funeral Plans and 5% off Pre-Need Cemetery Purchases (property and/or services). Please see flyer below for more details on the sale and the event!
