This Week's Prayer Requests

Please join us in prayer for:

  • Father Freeman who is currently in hospice care.
  • Aiyana, the requester's young pregnant niece, who will become a single mom, that she will have the strength, peace, and health she needs as she prepares to give birth in a few weeks. She is experiencing a lot of stress-related health issues.
  • Juanito Gomez and his family, as he recently entered hospice.
  • The repose of the soul of Seth Johnson, a young, married father who died in a car accident on Tuesday, December 10 as he was returning from driving his wife safely to work due to the snow.

Special Collection January 4-5: Retirement Fund for Religious

Our elder religious brothers, sisters, and priests need our help! The national collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious is January 4-5.

Established in 1988 by the Catholic bishops of the United States, the collection and fund aim to address the significant lack of retirement funding for Catholic sisters, brothers, and religious order priests. Faithful across the archdiocese are encouraged to support our beloved religious through the annual collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious during the weekend of January 4-5.

Checks may be made out to your parish, with a note in the memo line directing the donation to retired religious.

OCIA Regional Discussions

With the help of the Office of Evangelization and Family Life Ministries, Archbishop Aquila is working to create and eventually promulgate an outline of formation to be used during the catechumenal period of the OCIA. As a part of this process, the Office of Evangelization and Family Life Ministries will be hosting multiple regional meetings to discuss the proposed formation and collect feedback.

The presbyterate and all local OCIA coordinators (both from the diaconate and lay leaders) are invited to participate in these regional discussions. All of the meetings will follow an identical format and you only need to participate in one.

Our office is planning to come out to the Western Slopes in addition to the dates that have already been announced. If you are on the Western Slopes, please use the button below to indicate whether you can attend a meeting at Our Lady of Peace in Silverthorne on February 22 or March 1, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
