"More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that sufferings produce endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us"
— Romans 5:3-5
HOW WE ARE HONORING LIFE
🚨 Legislative Update from the Colorado Catholic Conference🚨
This year the Colorado legislature enacted SB25-183, which allocates at a minimum $1.5 million in taxpayer funded abortion (which will more likely be closer to $8 million per year based on actual abortion numbers – they tried to offset the cost because “labor is more expensive than abortion”), and sadly, Gov. Polis signed special session’s SB25B-002 into law, which allocates an additional $4.5 million per year for Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics. This measure is intended to replace lost federal funds after the passage of H.R. 1, redirecting state dollars to abortion providers instead of needed services for moms and babies—especially in underserved communities.
Colorado is moving in the opposite direction on life, and we need to answer the call for more dedicated prayer and support of women who find themselves in crisis pregnancies. Let us be a face of mercy to all those who are abortion vulnerable and do our part in connecting them to necessary resources. May we never give up hope.

Come Be Equipped, Encouraged, and Empowered for Life!
Join us for the Annual Gospel of Life event, hosted by our very own Respect Life Office! This year, we’re honored to welcome the Sisters of Life and Chelsey Gomez, who will share both the beauty and practicals of loving and supporting pregnant mothers — offering them the rich resources of our Archdiocese and the embrace of their parish community.
All ages are welcome to come be inspired and equipped to live out the Gospel of Life with compassion and courage.
Parish leaders, will you help us keep vigil for the vulnerable and unborn—the ones the Lord loves so deeply?
We're looking for parishes to host quarterly Holy Hours that can be as simple or as elevated as you’d like. Whether it’s candles and quiet prayer or music and reflection, the goal is the same: to draw hearts closer to Christ and awaken a deeper understanding of what Respect Life desires for our Archdiocese—a culture where every life is cherished and protected.
Emma and Jennifer are here to help you engage your parish in this mission. Contact us at life@ccdenver.org to learn more or get started.
