“A great prayer for life is urgently needed, a prayer which will rise up throughout the world. Through special initiatives and in daily prayer, may an impassioned plea rise to God, the Creator and lover of life, from every Christian community, from every group and association, from every family and from the heart of every believer.”

HOW WE ARE HONORING LIFE
Weeks for Freedom Begins: Adopt a Day of Prayer 💙
Weeks for Freedom calls us to come together in prayer, education and action to end human trafficking. Parishes are encouraged to adopt a day of prayer, lifting up those affected and strengthening our shared commitment to justice and freedom. Join events throughout the month of January to learn how you be a light sharing the truth of the impact of human trafficking within our community.
January 22 marks the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children, a solemn opportunity for all who advocate for the sanctity of life to come together in prayer, reflection and action.
On this day, Respect Life leaders are encouraged to:
Pray for the unborn and their families, asking God to protect life at every stage.
Promote awareness within your parish and community about the dignity of human life.
Engage in peaceful advocacy, supporting policies and initiatives that protect life.
This day coincides with the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade and serves as a reminder of our ongoing mission to uphold the right to life for every human being, born and unborn. By uniting in prayer and service, we witness to the Gospel of Life and strengthen our efforts to create a culture of respect and care for all.
Together, through prayer and action, we affirm the dignity of every human life and continue our commitment to building a culture of life.
We are inviting all to participate in 9 Days for Life, an annual novena dedicated to the protection of human life. From January 16–24, 2026, this nine-day prayer initiative offers daily intentions, short reflections and suggested actions to help build a culture that cherishes life at every stage. You can sign up to receive the prayers by email or text message, and resources are available to help promote and pray the novena in your parish or ministry.
Answering the Call: New Coordinator for Stapleton 40 Days for Life 🙌
We are pleased to share that we have found a Site Coordinator for the Planned Parenthood in Stapleton. Lisa Blevins has generously stepped forward to oversee this location and will be leading preparations for the Spring 2026 campaign and all moving forward.
We ask parish leaders to be on the lookout for emails and phone calls from Lisa, as she will be reaching out to introduce herself and begin coordinating parish involvement, prayer schedules, and volunteer support.
Please keep Lisa and this ministry in your prayers as we continue working together to build a culture of life through peaceful, prayerful witness. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us at life@ccdenver.org.
Together, we can build a culture of life—one prayerful witness at a time.
Respect Life leaders are invited to support a life-affirming partnership between Samaritan House and Every Child Pediatrics, which provides free, high-quality medical and behavioral health care to children experiencing housing insecurity. As one of the first pediatric clinics in the country located inside a shelter, this clinic offers compassionate care that integrates primary and mental health services through thoughtful screening, communication and coordination.
The clinic is open to families every Tuesday and Thursday, serving children living at Samaritan House and in the surrounding community. As the number of families facing housing insecurity in Denver continues to grow, so does the need for basic health supplies, including over-the-counter cold and flu medications that many families cannot afford.
Every contribution directly supports the health and dignity of children and families in need.
Stay informed and inspired with weekly conversations that explore the dignity of human life, current pro-life issues, and the hope found in faith. Each episode features compelling guests—from medical professionals to ministry leaders—offering insight, testimony, and encouragement for living out a culture of life.
New episodes are released each week, so there’s always something inspiring to listen to. Listen and share with others who are passionate about defending life at every stage.

A Life Longed For: Parents and a Child Reflect on IVF 👨👨👦
In this powerful and honest video about the realities of IVF, viewers hear deeply personal stories from both parents who chose in vitro fertilization and the child born through that journey. Through their voices, the video explores the emotional highs and lows of IVF — from the years of hope, heartbreak, and resilience that precede conception, to the profound love and identity that come with being born this way. The child’s perspective adds a unique layer, reflecting on what it means to know your life began in a lab yet was cherished and longed for by your parents. Together, these narratives reveal IVF not just as a medical procedure, but as a deeply human experience shaped by science, faith, sacrifice and joy.
As a new year begins, the Respect Life Office invites you to ground our shared ministry in prayer. We hope to connect with you in the first few months of the year through meetings and local gatherings as we continue building a culture of life together.
