God of all creation, through Jesus, your Son, you created man in your own image and likeness, to live and love as the crown of your creation. Move our hearts to cherish the precious gift of life at every stage and in every condition, and especially when it is most vulnerable in the autumn of life. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
— Opening Prayer From the Holy Hour for Life: Based Upon Reflections of Saint Pope John Paul II
HOW WE ARE HONORING LIFE
🙌 Archbishop Aquila Affirms Respect Life Ministry 🙌
In a recent letter to the faithful, Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila offered his wholehearted endorsement of the Respect Life Ministry of the Archdiocese of Denver. He reaffirmed the Church’s unwavering commitment to the dignity of every human life—from conception to natural death—and encouraged parishes, schools and apostolates to actively support and collaborate with Respect Life efforts. Through prayer, education, outreach and advocacy, the Archbishop invites all the faithful to help build a culture where every human life is cherished and protected.

Bishop Conley’s Powerful Witness at the National March for Life ⛪
Bishop James Conley, of the Diocese of Lincoln, delivered a stirring message at the National Prayer Vigil for Life and the March for Life in Washington, D.C., reminding the faithful that our work for life extends beyond legislation to building “a culture of life and a civilization of love.” He encouraged young people and all participants to pray fervently and work with compassion to support mothers, defend the most vulnerable and change hearts in our society. Bishop Conley emphasized that while the legal fight continues, the Church must accompany women in need and serve all human life with mercy and care.

Let’s march together to affirm the value and dignity of every human life.
As the Respect Life Office, we invite you to join us in prayerful participation in the 40 Days for Life events and campaigns taking place throughout the Denver metro area. During this sacred season, we desire to stand in solidarity with you as we journey with Christ to His crucifixion and embrace the fullness of His Resurrection. Through prayer, fasting, and peaceful witness, we bring the light of Christ to those most in need of hope and healing.
We will be praying every Wednesday from 1:00–2:00 p.m. outside of the Planned Parenthood in Park Hill throughout the 40 Days for Life season. We warmly encourage you to join us for one hour—or as you are able—as we unite our prayers for the dignity of every human life. For more information or to get involved, please reach out to either one of us or contact us at life@ccdenver.org.
